    Here's a list of top traffic directories. Start with the list and then check to see where the traffic is coming from. You want to find directories that get hits from the search engines...rather than just from webmasters looking for links.

    Search engines give you traffic. No one searching directories. In last 5 years I got 0 visitors from DMOZ, why is biggest one.
    Also recent google changes caused web and article directories to loose most of their traffic.

    directory didn't get a lot of traffic...even the biggest one...but it very good to get back-links
