Is it better to have the direct search term(s) as your domain name, at least one term, or does you domain name matter if you have the content? example search term = red ford titan which is better? (Assuming all 3 site have same content and redfordtitan.com is already taken) red-fordtitan.com VS cooltitans.com VS sweettrucks.com/red-ford-titan
Use a more general domain name then break it down... it'll give you the ability to also expand the site too.
it depends on your goals with the site/domain. A general type-in name is always a good choice: more people will find it. Redfordtitan.com would be a good type-in, but red-ford-titan.com would be good for search engine optimization if you had an informational site with lots of pages. More people will find it randomly just as the straight term though (redfordtitan.com)
Subdomains also always work wonders as well. Buy a company domain name or a unique domain name and then you can have a keyword subdomain. IT
Hey Affector, welcome to DP. People type "red ford titan" in Google if they want to search for something, but Google Search identifies a domain like redfordtitan.com for that search result query as well, and it actually identifies it as the best result in most cases. IT
