Hi All, When marketing for local companies what do you think works better Direct Mail or Pay-Per-Click? Does anyone have a link to a case study comparing the results of the 2? Thanks in advance to anyone who has concrete results/information
It depends on the quality of the individual campaigns, the product offered, the target market and the demographic, the quality of the mailing list... Your question is a little too open ended to be able to provide proper feedback.
There are too many variables. But I would think that overall ROI would be much better on PPC. I know it is for the companies I work with.
I worked in direct mail for 10+ years and managed about 200 million pieces of mail a year. In terms of ROI, PPC wins everytime.
Unfortunately, I don't have an answer for you, but wanted to respond since I live in Orange County! Small world.
As always you are very helpful. Do you by chance know of any studies done on this topic that you can refer me to for more information on how they perform against eachother?
Sorry, the only ones I know about are my own and I can't share the specific details If I happen across any published information that looks like it might be helpful I'll post it here.
