I'd like to promote Click bank by direct linking and the hop link of the product that I promote is different from the URL of the landing page of that product. For example lets say I promote shoes: Display URL: shoes.com Destination URL: http:/my-click bank-hop-link-of-shoes.com/ see, the "hop link" doesn't start with top level domain which is shoes.com, but still when someone clicks on hop link he arrives to shoes.com I understand that destination URL and display URL should have the same top level domain by the new Adwords policy. So my question is how can I make it work with Click bank? Or I don't need to worry about it as through hop link you will arrive to shoes.com any way? Is there any trick regarding this issue? Thanks, Vad
You need to use a landing page in this case. In almost all cases, in fact. What I do with Clickbank sites is contact the merchant through their affiliate page (if they're worth their salt they'll have one) and see if you can make an agreement to link from your site to their order page. That way it looks like you are just one cohesive company and not an affiliate loading up to send the merchant a sale. You can then either replicate their landing page on your own server, if given permission, or develop your own sales page.
Do you really need to make a landing page? It looks like TONS of people list the display URL as the merchants page with the destination URL as the ugly affiliate link...
At the very least, buy a domain name with your keyword in it, and then use a direct page. Under the new google rules, the redirect domain has to be in the display URL, so eventually you will want to use a landing page and then provide a review, or a link with the CB hop link.
