When doing Direct Link to advertiser landing pages via PPC (on google) do you put the advertiser's website in the ad? Most advertisers that I've seen don't want you to do this, so how to people do direct to advertiser links on PPC? I've used my own domain name on the ad and auto-forwarded to the advertiser's landing page but google pulls my ad because the final destination is a different domain from the ad. Any help would be appreciated as I can't really find a good answer on google or searching DP so I'm just spitting it out.
If advertisers disallow you to direct link don't do it even with cloaking or forwarding. You have to create a landing page for that advertiser or choose another which allows DL then make sure your display URL matches the landing page URL.
Thanks for the reply and that's good info, but doesn't answer my question: If I want to do a direct linking campaign to my advertiser via google PPC what domain do I put for the ad on google PPC? If the advertiser says I can't use their domain in google ads, does that mean direct linking is out? Anyone who does direct linking PPC please chime in. Thank you.
