direct linking in CJ?

Does CJ allow direct linking for their advertisers or do you have to build your own landing pages?

A lot of the hosting offers allow it but I know some of the CPS for online merchants and the like are a little more reserved in their policies

If I were an advertiser in CJ, I should allow a direct linking. It's already a favor that someone whom you don't pay to promote your website is moving heaven and earth to drive traffic to your website.

Prohibition of sending direct traffic is absolutely a wrong business policy.

    Two potential downsides:
    1. Spam
    2. Your site might be blacklisted.

So what is the purpose of the 'keyword link' I see listed in the links page on CJ?

Spam is not a problem. Even a CJ member deploys spamming, he is wasting time. Who opens spam email anyway?

I know some of the programs I use allow direct linking, but one does not. It depends on the program so make sure you check it out because I lost almost $300 in commissions due to direct linking to a program that required a landing page.

Most companies operate their own search campaigns using their domain as the visible URL. This almost always comes in at a lower cost than affiliates promoting via search using the merchant's domain, and it allows the merchant to control their branding.

And yes, advertisers do pay you to promote their website. That's the point of an affiliate program  It's called commission. I don't care how much traffic you send me if none of it converts - you're only getting paid on the sales.

Depends on the advertiser. I only used direct advertisers when CJ was my top affiliate outlet.

If I were a Merchant, I would not want direct linking for one simple reason - it will decrease the EPC and since network EPC is shown for each merchant, you want to keep it perceivably high.

In some case , advertiser allow that method. But not almost, then you need to build a website to promote their product.

If CJ asking you to explain about your traffic , how can you talk to them ? They will not allow the method " direct link " of you . And 99% your account will be deactived
