Ive been looking at the cashback sites, like quidco or shopathome and would like to know if they could save on expenses, by paying the refund via direct deposit into the users account instead of mailing checks. I dont have any experience in this field, but how is the security aspect ? are users going to be willing to give a website their account details to get the refund ? Is there a possibility of fraud, or have i got it all backwards, and this simply isnt the way the system works ?? Secondly I am based outside the US, is there a way to issue checks on such a scale like this like shopathome, without being based in the country ? I am stuck on finding a way to pay the cashback to the users... Any direction and tips are appreciated.
sorry about that. what i want to do is create a cashback site like quidco. then as a payment option, I want to pay the users their cashback via direct deposit straight into their account, to save money on checks. Is this possible, that is what i would like to know. Would anyone give their account number on a website ? And is this how the system works, or am i wrong in how im approaching this ?
You could do this. You would have to ask the users for their banking account number and routing number. As longs as you have an SSL certificate your in the clear.
