Dilemma: Permanent Redirects vs Temporary Redirects?

    Hi,

    I've been thinking about the following - I'd love to hear what you'd advise:

    1) why use temporary redirects when you can have permanent redirects?
    (know that with temporary the "link juice" is left behind and only visitors/bots get
    redirected, but I can't see the sense of temporary)

    2) temporary redirect doesn't pass DA, PA from what I've heard#

    3) if you have to rebuild a 500+ page site, would you redirect to new URLs or would
    you struggle to keep them? (currently I am working on moving a large site like this and
    with Wordpress it's rather difficult to keep the original structure, but I don't want to
    lose "link juice")
