DigitalpointForums ranked 9th most popular eBusiness site in the world!

I was surfing the net and I came to a site where 25 Most Popular Tech Websites are listed.

Site is http://www.ebizmba.com

It is nice to see that DP Forum is at 9th Place.

But it is sad to say that SitePoint.com and WebmasterWorld.com are above the DP.

Web sites were ranked by a combination of inbound links, Google Page Rank, Alexa Rank, and U.S. traffic data from Compete and Quantcast.

So what do you think can DP beat them in future?
Many people are saying that the Sitepoint is having a good, reputed and clean Business market then DP where DP is a place of Scammers. Is that right?

Well, SP has a good number of serious buyers BUT DP ain't full of scammers. You can find a number of good deals, members at DP.

 

More backlinks and great content. The scammers won't ever go away unless something is done. Charging for the marketplace would be a stupid move in my opinion.

Sustained efforst by all of us here DP would take the board to even higher ranks in months and years to come.

 

I'm guessing SitePoint is held higher in the marketplace because when people do business there's a fee involved, so it commits the seller into giving somewhat of a collateral in return of a sale. On DP it's all based on what can loosely be called 'blind faith' and integrity. It's a trade-off really. DP might now require a fee, but at least we have our rating system to let us know who is reliable and who isn't.

 

oh no...i hope dp doesn't start charging us to list..I'm trying to get started in the whole freelance/entrepreneur thing...i wouldn't be against down the track when i've actually been making money..


Anyway..It is cool to be a member of a site ranked so high in a particular area!

I hope so too. DP was my first choice to start selling again after a long hiatus. Years ago I was with Webmaster Talk but decided to move to DP when I saw the larger community for the same price of $0.00. Occasionally now I list at SitePoint but I wouldn't be able to if it hadn't been for DP first.

So thank you DP! You give a lot of us new and second chances. =P

 

I think DP should make an e-currency, and Shawn should setup a team to take care of transactions between DP members. Then someday this place will be scam free.

I am happy that DP is amoung top10, so then next thing is to move up the ladder. I am also happy that DoshDosh made in to top 20.
