Digitalpoint Signatures

I realize that in order to include a signature in the post you need at least 10 posts, two weeks of an active account and a certain amount of rep points before being allowed to include a signature, the question I have is how many rep points does one need?, also is it difficult to gain rep points even if you are offering quality content and giving quality advice?

    Thanks in advance

I've never heard of rep points required for signature. I don't have much and still am able to post links in my sig.

As long as your reputation is "green" (or saying possitive point), then you will allowed to put signature

don't bother, I think the sigs are no-follow anyway, I think only premium members get it do-follow. and also, if you are not active posted you wont get any traffic from it unless some of the posts are ranked high in google (rare). even if you are active the traffic will be minimal as well. bottom line, not worth the effort.

One would think that you would want to join a forum for information and to meet new friends and take it from there :)

Not only are signatures nofollow, you can only even SEE them if you are logged in. So until Googlebot registered an account and logs in with it, they aren't even going to see the nofollow signatures.

I think you need to post at least 30 post or wait for 1 week so that you can add your signature. I forgot about this just read forum rules.

Signatures have many values. Even if you are not getting link backs off of them than at the least you are going to get another forum member exploring what your signature has to offer. If someone has some valid advice or a good sense of humor than I may look deeper into their signature. It is worth the setup time even if it gets used for different objectives.

Restricting signatures makes the site a little more respectful, useful and enjoyable. A++

    .
It means DP is disappointing many members who earn (though small) through DP signatures.
And if DP is earning through visitors/traffic so they should get chance to earn with it.
This is my point of view though I don't use signature.

All links are nofollow now anyway, why would you want to come here and build links? unless your selling you usual carp
