Before I ask my real question, does any body know if digitalpoint.net is owned by the same as the .com?
Well i recieved an email earlier requesting i go to dp and when i followed the link it took me to what I thought was DP but it did not automatically sign me in it asked me to login, so I did and after I did i noticed the URL was not right. It was forums-digitalpoint.net/login.php and it looked just just like the real DP. So I was wondering if this is some way of trying to steal my password so i changed my password. But I was wondering if this should be reported. Advice????
I never see any digitalpoint.net wandering around the search engines, so probably it's a phishing attempt made by some "phisherman"
I don't know if it's right to call "digitalpoint.net" a phishing site as it just looks like a normal website. However this is a phishing site and it's intent is to obviously get peoples passwords here on digitalpoint (the real one) forums-digitalpoint.net/login.html
Yes, look out for those. They disguise the url by setting it up like so: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 so that it displays like this: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/forumdisplay.php?f=3 If you are a bit unsure, mouseover the url first to check and definitely DO NOT enter your DP login info unless you are absolutely certain you are on DP.
OMG! Really? Are there DP "phisherman" out there? This is like another thread I read earlier of someone who was wanting to know if digitalpoint.info was reg as well. Anyone else curious or want to capitalise on the good ole name of DP? Nintendo use to have a mirror site of DP as well. But I cant find the link of the land of wackos site. Maybe the lil gnome "phisherman" took all the DP extensibons and the land of the wackos websites with them,
I just got another one fromthis guy his name is- buyandsellwebsites he is a newbie. should i send a copy of the pm to admins?
