I guess digitalpoint need more staff to help them out moderate the forums more actively and make it a safe place. http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showgroups.php Out of 10 moderators, only 2 of them are online and both the administrators are offline. Whoever agrees with my suggestions, please post your ideas to help Shawn.
First off it's Shawn. 2nd, is there any huge problem that needs a bunch of moderators out policing the forums? I think DP does fine with the amount they have.
A good first impression to Shawn would be spelling his name correctly. Just a thought though To be honest, I like how things are going here, and DP doesn't really need more moderators, but one more wouldn't hurt!
Well it is the holidays for some people. And this site does not have as much spam as other forums - so I don't think more are warranted.
(December 25 - January 1) = Family Time? I think maybe the moderators/administrators are entiltled to take some time off.
Well guys I don't think mistake of 'U' would matters much to shawn Suggestion is good but right now I think mods are doing quite well. DP is well managed at the moment as well.
More moderators doesn't necessarily help, it can confuse the situation just as much. A few highly active mods can keep a forum like this in line. You can help the mods by reporting any post you see that needs to be removed (spam).
This place seems to run pretty smoothly as it is. I don't really see the need for any more moderators.
my #1 tip: dont post in the wrong forum, post spam or abuse the rules. then mods will have more time to "make the forums safe" (whatever that means?)
This is one of the best run forums that I have joined in almost ten years of internet participation. If you are concerned about some of the language or discussions, most of that is permissible according to DP's FAQs. Most of what we share here is based on opinion, the free expression of thoughts and ideas, something that those of us in the political west hold dear.
Ah, okay. It was just a suggestion and everyone does mistakes. It was a simple typo of shawn's name because it can also be spelled as Shaun. Sorry about the name and thanks for the replies.
2 Mods online is not bad .We can see more Mods online at busy hours ,you should also consider time zone more over this is festival time.
