It does not really come as a suprise to me as I have said to Mods for along time that if they do not control spam, such as people leaving bad itrader. Then DP will suffer, people are getting fed up.

Do not get me wrong I still stumble across some good information on DP but it is just so full of people asking the same question again again and again.

I hope they can turn things around as it was once a top community

Just look at the stats below only 600 people online I swear there used to be thousands and thousands

So Digitalpoint as you ask us... What is going on?

They have got a lot stricter with moderation recently, which is a good thing IMO. Reduces spam and useless posts. They are trying to improve the situation

Look at the members logged in and look at the slow and gradual descrease in traffic.

Although its from Alexa... A heck of a lot of people must of uninstalled there toolbars for such a significant drop

this might be the reason that many members with high reputation has been banned
and dp moderators never gave them a chance to clear the situation...!

I noticed there was only like 100 online a few hours ago but that seems to be back to normal now as I currently see >700 online.

This happens because of the database issues. You probably took a screenshot right after it got back online. That's why the number is low.

DP has changed a lot over the period of 2 years now. It has become more crowded and also a more dynamic place

Yes. I find many users banned with high number of posts. After checking their posts I find no reason for banning. There should be a forum for banned users where they can ask for the reason at least.

That is very true! I have no doubt that many deserve to be banned but that is not always the case.
