I'm not talking about my sites, but talking Why this digitalpoint forum not set the url more search engine friendly? When i type on Google "site:http://forums.digitalpoint.com/" with over 341,000 pages without Supplemental Result pages, all pages perfect indexed eventhough still with single parameter "showthread.php?t=xxxxxxx". Some forum with latest vBulletin was set it to SE friendly URL's. Is that possible DP will have over 500.000 indexed pages, if set the url's like http://www.webmaster-talk.com or http://www.v7n.com/forums/ ..?? any comments..?
I'm pretty sure Shawn does not care about how many pages he has indexed. This forum would still be successful without it. Anyway, FireStorM is right google does not have a problem finding pages through out this forum. DP is a spider feeding junkie, they love to hang out here just as much as we do.
We already get complaints from members when their post asking for information on their site ends up outranking the actual site - and you want to make it stronger?
for a site like DP and its age SEF urls are not mandatory. why worry about SEF url's when all the threads are indexed in the next day or two.
There has already been threads explaining that dynamic url's are just as friendly as keyworded .html files... plus DP is huge and has got some age so that's why its outranking so many peoples sites for keywords
