Hey Guys, Is it just me, for the past few days the connection on DP has been absolutely rubbish! Every other link/thread I click it just freezes and the page doesn't load! I have heard complaints on webmaster forums as well about this problem! I think the big guys here should sort it out, because I have heard a number of reputable members are giving up on DP for the poor connection! Thanks
I don't think its to the point where any real members will leave DP and never come back.... ALL websites have problems from time to time, esp if you have a forum of this size with this amount of members and page hits. And everyone has to remember, DP makes there money from advertising and clicks. They don't get paid if the pages don't load and no one clicks. They want to fix the problems just as bad as you want them fixed, maybe even more so. Give DP a break, its a great community and it takes a lot of work keeping something this big and popular running at full steam.
Exactly, my point, I would of thought he might invest some back into the website basics, like good connection
I couldn't even get onto the forum this morning...but that might have been my internet connection as well.
It sometime happens to me, like when i click a topic, it loads for a while, then the page dies, then to bring it back i have to refresh page. But i think staff knows about this and will fix it soon.
maintaining a server isnt easy, and DP is using many servers so we need to understand.. plus isnt Shawn collecting optional donations to add more servers?
