I can't see the ads either and I was wondering why? but I have heard that Google isn't very comfortable banning popular sites because of the negative publicity it would bring in.

If a member clicked their own ad without knowing it was their ad and that happened a few times, even by accident, you can bet yer ass they got banned. Happened to me. Wasn't even my fault, it was one of my members and they didn't do it on purpose either. But Google will not even acknowledge your existence with that crap. They got their money up front, so what do they care about small business owners trying to eek out a living on a forum?

That is why I HATE GOOGLE WITH EVERYTHING I GOT! I lost a lot of revenue that month. Really upset the balance of what I was doing at the time.

It is probably because the adsense ads are having hiccups, they will show up in due course of time.

I still think my answer is correct. Not like I know a damn thing about DP operations, I only know what happened to me. I had a similar model, got burned hard for it. I will never use Adsense for anything other than print out their ads to wipe my butt with them.

I am not sure what this site checks but looks like the site is banned. But like I said earlier, it is an excellent opportunity for Shawn to start looking at Private ads.. And affiliates...

If you are inclining your ear to this thread Shawn, I have an idea that would make both you and and a select amount of DP members good money for an alternative to Adsense.

I'm here if you want to know more about it. I don't think anyone else is doing this.

Complete load of old tosh. If you're a genuine publisher - then Google will most certainly achknowledge an accidental click, especially if you notify them. I've done it many a time, and they said not to bother emailing them. Google isn't stupid, they know the difference between a genuine and a fraud publisher.

Actually, I am doing this as well.

I'm sure Shawn has much bigger fish to fry.

As for the job the mods do, personally I think it's fairly overlooked. This forum is MASSIVE, and spam, vulgar content, and other inappropriate material is always removed very hastily. Think they do a good job IMO.

Shawn will eventually add some other form of ads. Bidvertiser or adbrite. I bet he made a lot of money from Adsense.
