    Hello,

I am getting different stats for both digital point's suggestion tool and wordtracker. For instance when using digital points suggestion tool if i type in the word "picture" in it claims to be searched for 16k times a day.. Although if i throw the same term into word tracker the COUNT over a 90 day period is 1709..

What do I go by?? Im confused.. Please help..

generally wordtracker is standread tool but no tool will give u 100% correct results. Here your keyword is "picture" which is very comman word i think in this case DP tool looks better.

this is similar to the case that happened to me. i took a domain which had the keyword in it.
As per dp tool it shown me 5000 searches/day and i took it but later found using wordtracker the real search is 90/day and now after a month my site is on #1 and iam getting a total of 300 hits/day 200 from SE's in which 25% is for the main keyword which i searched and optimised :)
So i guess each shows different results ;)

Both are estimations based on limited data sets. They are there to give you an estimate of popularity compared to different keywords using the same dataset. Do not take any of these tools #'s literal.

    Right there...

These tools just give you a relative data not the exact number of searches.

For example .. if you search on Apple then DPs sugesstion tool might show you 1000 searched and Wordtracker 500 searches

Now if you search for banana if DP's suggestion tool shows you 2000 then Wordtracker will show 1000 searches. So it is not the exact number of searches given by these tools but just a relative Idea.
