This last week, I "got political" (see sig).
I visit 4 forums here every day, and take everything for granted.

Taking my message to the masses, I have tried other forums. What a nightmare!

Can't log in more than once, forced limited avatar selection, NO EDITING, absolutely mysterious navigation, NO NAVIGATION, verification emails that never arrive, etc., etc.
    What an eye-opener.

DP forums are SO superior, it isn't funny.

    Yeah.
    vbulletin sites rock.
These were some other not-as-good software (called SMF).

Also, no spaces, no hyphens, no underscores - 26 ALPHA's only for Username, I believe. It took me a while to catch on.

<edit>Here is what happened at one forum - it allowed me to register with Surf-Dude. I got in ONCE, and posted. Then I returned, to answer other posters, and I get the a-z only message. Catch 22. I can't post - I can't change my user name. It makes it look like I did a drive-by, and vanished. I must register as someone else, and start all over again. Screw it, I'm gone. This is what is known as "untested software".</edit>

DP is the best site marketing forum on the net, hands down. I couldn't even begin to tell you how much I've gotten out of this forum.

DP is a big forum on the net, and it is pretty good and helpful for WMs.

I think this should be moved to the Suggestions/Feedback forum since this thread is in regards to your feedback and opinion on DP. (Thread reported to be moved.)

Anyway, yes, I agree with you - DP does rule, but I must admit that I hate whenever I get bogus infractions or banned. :)

Haha. I am about to install SMF (1.5) on a couple of sites. We evaluated it against phpBB 3 and it won hands down. Code base is better than vBulletin though so we can probably fix anything that's not to our liking. I will keep an eye out for the things you mentioned.
