I've been trying to call Digital Point for a week. They do not return my calls even though I leave messages begging to purchase support and products. I've sent email but have only received one reply that stated that their phone system was messed up. None of my email messages re: purchases or support have been answered. My post to this form has not been answered. Does anyone have a way to contact the people at Digital Point? If one of you have the after hours cell phone contract could you call your support contact and tell them that it appears that the office has been completely shut down? I haven't seen a post by a Digital Point representative in the forums since the 22nd. Any help is greatly appreciated!
Shawn is not the only one running Digital Point though. The forum support E-mail gets picked up by different people too. Just because Shawn's out doesn't mean everything gets to a halt. Keep ringing I'd say and try all obvious e-mail addresses @digitalpoint.com . I'm sure you'll find it's just an anomaly.
It's good news that they are doing well enough to take a vacation... The bad news is we scheduled the implmentation of our accounting system for last week.... and the manual says "Technical support email is monitored regularly and in most cases, you will receive a reply within an hour." which is clearly an optimistic assement. So does this mean that no support is available at all right now? Shawn deserves the vacation I'm sure, but our livelyhood depends on our billing software being reliable. How often is support unavailable? George
I hope it IS an anomoly. This thread is the only sign of life we have seen since last Monday. No calls, faxes or email have been returned, so whomever is still alive at the company is well hidden from people requesting support. I'll keep calling...
No doubt, you will get support when Shawn gets back. Just hang in there, he will be back in a few days
Bob & George, I apologize for the lack of support you've received. Something must be wrong over at the DP office (I swear, the owner leaves for 1 second and the whole place falls apart!!). Shawn is indeed in Russia at the moment (and no, he never leaves and will probably never leave again once he hears that support is being neglected). He is due to return tomorrow morning, so I assure you that this will be sorted out by tomorrow. Again, I apologize for the inconvenience. I'm going to sift through the previous threads you've left and see if there is anything that I can solve right away.
Thanks everyone for the information. I feel much better knowing that help is just around the corner and I'll be able to start to work again on this project.
So fun to come back to this after only 6 days. yay Anyway, I'm *almost* back... at least in the US (Pittsburgh airport) waiting for my final flight. If you need anything tonight, feel free to ring the office after 8:00 pm PST or so, I'm sure I'll be getting caught up all night. Otherwise tomorrow (or any other day is fine too).
