Digital Point may not be right for me....

I love DP and its vast wealth on info. Its very helpful with some of my projects, but not entirely useful for my main source of income.

I sell a very tangible product, a poster, and DP is more centered around pushing and selling intangibles, at least in this forum. The advice, aside from SEO and such rarely applies to my business as a legitimate small business.

So I am asking if there are other forums besides DP that are more geared to small businesses and actual product marketing. No ill-will to DP or anything, but I think I would fit in better elsewhere, I just don't know where that is.

    Thanks!

I use to be part of one but they shut down. You are right, digital point is focused on the Internet and products and service offered digitally. That is the purpose and that is what you will see on here.

I suggest you search Google for small business forums and just check them out until you find one that you like.

I think the concepts still apply. I think where DP is great is its information on marketing. Covering the various avenues you can take on traffic building is imperative to any business website whether they're offering services, tangible or intangible items.

Even the buy, sell, trade section serves its purpose in teh sense that you may need to find someone to do a little work for you or you can do work for others if you are familiar with it to build up a small marketing budget.

I don't know of any that are as large or active as DP but there are many smaller business forums.

It depends on what you need help with - setting up a shopping cart? Copywriting? Getting traffic?
