Optional sorting changes are already in the works. The bigger hurdle right now is trying to figure out how to fit more of the optional info on the thread list (so we can sort by it) without making it look cluttered.
Please put a "Review Available:" option in main BST too and give us the option to shift our thread to other part of the BST so that mods workload decreases and so do member infractions. Also if someone enters a BIN of less than $5, will it automatically go to freebies or get rejected?
For what kinda of stuff exactly? Not likely... they already agreed it's the best suitable place for their thread (they can't type anything into the thread until they do). Giving them the ability to do it after the fact won't make them any smarter. Was planning on doing that already.
For stuff like this: http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1482810 or this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1482545 Or even this http://forums.digitalpoint.com/showthread.php?t=1482541 Though all 3 have probably chosen the wrong forum. I and all members really appreciate the effort you are putting. But please solve one problem- "Sellers need exposure" faced by service providers at the very least. It'll immensity help the marketplace. Take the example of a supermarket, they arrange all their stuff in such a way that it gets seen. Daily use commodities are placed in the end so that buyers come across more stuff while browsing through the alleys. Similarly products aimed at children are placed at their eye level. Buyers don't always search for what they need, they just browse and buy what meets their eye and needs. And the more people spend more the economy grows. Creating a new search system is a great step as the current search system on this forum is very retarded (even with google). But there should be a default sorting order which gives more choice to the buyer and exposure to the seller. It should be fair to all stakeholders - sellers, buyers and the staff. I am not a fan of bumping, but there may be other ways. Making some sections of the BST as paid for sellers* would give them exposure and eliminate most of the shit by people wanting to make a quick buck. Or there may be other better ways which may occur to any of us if we ponder.
Sir, Would it be alright if we pay $1,000 for a pinned thread in a certain section of our choice?? P.S. And oh, the past thread sorting is still the best option.
Keep in mind that auto-closing your thread doesn't mean you're allowed to start another one. Duplicate thread rules still apply. So make sure you're absolutely certain you want something closed before you choose that option. And I guess since this works against buyers' ability to leave thorough reviews we should also make it clear that if you take part in a deal, it doesn't go as promised so you want to leave that negative review in the thread, but it's closed, you can at least use the report post option to ask us to re-open it for you to leave feedback. Far from ideal since that's the only place you can leave or read full feedback publicly on someone to expose spammers and other problem children (iTrader limits just don't cut it in many cases), but that's at least a workaround if you really want to post the review.
Holy crap just when I thought this site's marketplace couldn't get any better! I love the new extra info feature where a site's info is added. It's AWESOME!!! I just wished it was possible to make threads pile up from cheapest to most expensive by clicking a button. THANK YOU DP!
I done the same thing with my marketplace forum about 2 months ago however its not styled as nice as Shaun has done it
I would suggest all the reviews left to be appended to the OP making it visible to everyone->be it +ve or -ve or nething else. EDITjhmattern I think reviews ae needed only to judge the thread. So, if the thread is closed, no need of review. Ofcourse, if ppl r not satisfied they leave iTraders. Its same like if the OP wants to close the thread, the reviewers can't review the service. EDIT2: Where is the data of unique visitors and monthly views taken from? Probably final Edit: What is the situation when we wnat to list multiple domains/sites?
Just look at the drop-down when creating a WTS thread. Off the top of my head, I think it's 1, 3, 7, 14 or 30 days.
