chat -- it would be great, but I agree that it would be no sense in it because of more ads than real communication so I caonsider forum to be the most appropriate form of communication for our purpose)))

no ads in the IRC itself but I'm sure that there will appear many spammers that will spam all chat channels with their ads.... no use of it...

No one said they had adverts, but how many users of these forums do you think would try and sell there services on an IRC channel? I'm guessing hundreds if not thousands resulting in message after message of spam.

I think IRC would be a great idea. If we use freenode's network, there will be very little spam.

IRC is a great idea, spammers can easily be kept at bay with a bot or two. not all irc channels have ads although a timed ad could be implemented.

They would be quite crowded... I say it takes away GC in the case.

well yea putting more thought into it, considering how much people visit this forum, the irc channel would be just a tad crowded :D

You could create several channels for the different topics.. as well as a market place for the people who can offer and wants to buy some services...

Further more, I would love to try and "interview" some of the big players here, or hear an online lecture ( like reading a post, but being able to ask a few questions and get answered right away_

I think it would be a great idea. Why won't one of you create one and we'll see how it goes? If it won't work then it won't work. Let's stop speculating and just try it. Wouldn't hurt anyway.

I would perhaps join during regular hours. I used to be a huge into IRC, but got out of it for quite sometime now.
