So I've worked for the past month or so as a free lance writer. At first I was trusting and did work and expected payment after I finished . Of course, I was scammed about $100 out of the $300 total I should have earned for the past few months. Just a little pissed off about it and what really brought this on was buying something from TigerDirect. I just buying a part for my computer using google checkout, and was wondering things such as "I wonder how long it will take them to respond," and, "I hope they don't scam me." Of course, about 5 seconds later in my inbox confirming my payment and giving me a link to follow the progress of my part. Just a bit shocked after working with DP and it's failed communications for so long without break.
It's not a DP problem, it's your problem. Only deal with trusted members who have plenty itraders left by sellers. It means they'll have paid for a lot of similar stuff. Also if you insist on dealing with the untrustable, low post count, low traders etc, ask for 50% of the work up front. Seen as you are still the legal owner of that content that was stolen from you, why not file a DMCA against anyone who tried to publish it on their site? Or just take the articles and resell them to someone else in the "Content" forum.
even i lost a lot of money.. but thats not because of DP.. its people out here.. u cant blame DP for failing at business
