Feature Digital Point Directory

There is a new tab up top in the navigation for the new Digital Point Directory.

You can edit your listing in your control panel (listings are for premium members BTW, before someone asks).

You can use this thread to request features (including requesting additional categories).

Would just be an unmanageable spam-fest if it wasn't limited to premium members, sorry. :)

Unless you took an approach like DMOZ and had it moderated by people and went one step further by calling it a decent name and not "random links" it would certainly end up as just a spam place Shaun.

I don't know what your thoughts are on DMOZ but I gave up trying to add any links to it when the first one I submitted never got listed no matter how long I waited. It wouldn't be difficult, given the membership here, for you to better DMOZ if it was done right IMHO.

Also there are many people who would never in a million years pay for a premium membership anywhere tbh.

I'm not a big fan of directories of any sort to be honest... Certainly have no desires to be bigger than DMOZ or anyone else. This is more just a bonus for premium members, that's all. We get enough traffic that actual real traffic sent to sites directly from us will be good for the people listing sites.

I am not a fan of directories either tbh, but what about all those decent members that would never dream of paying for a premium membership. They might just have something worthwhile to contribute to such a thing.

Nice addition for the premium members , Ill toddle off and do some submitting now :) Any limitations on how many links can be submitted ? If not i think there should be just so people dont start abusing their privileges and selling directory spots or posting links that do not belong to them ?

EDIT , just seen you can only submit one so that solves that problem :)

Will the submissions be reviewed or auto approved?

    Thanks Brian

They are auto-approved, but if someone tries to insert something that shouldn't be there, they will lose their ability to have anything in the directory (there is a note about it on the entry page).

You become liable for the content of the site you put into the directory, but that's up to you.

Obviously as "If you are selling signature links or similar (links from sites you don't necessarily own, but have the owner's blessing to run them on)" then it belongs to Signature Link forum.

    SEO Services = Marketing

SEO Tools : ? ( this is not exactly marketing )

ALSO >> if u ve SEO thing there its very easy for normal users to search for reliable SEO services sites & tools ... now what happens is all are SEO GURUS on DP & its bit difficult for users to find reliable SEO person & im sure ... directory will give trust to user
