Feature Digital Point Chat Box

Hey!
DP Friends

After being upgraded to Vbulletin 4 in which each members has own friends list! I am looking that DP Development should also implement Digital Point Chat Box in Ajax Format which only is available for only selected friends which comprises in your friends list. A kind of Facebook type chat.

I guess this feature of DP! can make forum lot better than other Webmasters Forums!

chat features have been discussed and rejected in the past. i don't see that changing anytime soon.
but hey, ya never know.

 

I don't like chats on forums, if you want to chat then do so in the appropriate forums, a chat box is just not the place to do it on a forum.

 

and it can increase the loading time............................................., I think

 

I think that DP is a professional marketplace so ppl. must be aware of sloppy chats it can make as an optional feature

 

I also don't think this gonna happen.

Why do you need it? Chats are so unprofessional.

 

thats a crap idea. this is a serious business marketing forum with no time to be wasted on idle chat that benefits nobody except the taxman and scammers.

 

Such feature, can distort the main purpose of this forum...as I'd consider that more 'social-networking' than anything to do with web development, which is why I disagree for the good of DP, when communicating with other members consider the traditional forum method -> PM, or instant messenger.

 

I agree, it's for the good of DigitalPoint, no chatbox.

 

But something like bhw is always good. We can get to any mod very quickly.

 

I agree too... Chat box will affects DP growth and threads and posts begin to decrease and spammers feel convenient in doing their work......
