How can i protect my self, i must have lost at least $200 just from these disputes :/

Just got 'scammed' by: nthayer (would be nice if a admin/mod could ban him)

It's more than annoying, is there any way to protect myself with this issue - i know that paypal doesn't protect digital items, but there must be a way.

    Regards

you should be more clear as to what cheat you experienced. intellectual property theft? I suggest suing.

well, the legal fees, time, and oop cost prevents most of us from pursuing scammers. i have been scammed several times. maybe if the guy is a repeat one, and in US, send a note to SS & FBI. but they only look at big fish...else just curse and forget,,like i do

If you are selling scripts or programs use some kind of licensing system . If the buyer opens a dispute or files a charge back deactivate his license so the program no longer works .
