True. That is why I said - that is only proof I can give.

I talked with my lawyers. There is nothing they can do if I use diggforum tm not digg. So you are 100% wrong.

Not quite right... you can't use googleforum , microsoftforum or whatever TM forum.
They can send you a cease and desist form.

No they can't. :) You cannot use "microsoft forum" and etc., but you can "microsoftforum". If someone ask, you can say (for e.g. diggforum.com) d - is my dogs names first leter, i - is my sisters name, gg - gogo; forum = forum. so what tha * you want ?. That's it :).

He is not my personal laywer. That is 1st. He works for group that I'm in. Secondly. TM (digg) is US region. I'm from EU. Socodnly. Basic e.g. for you. My name is Gajus and last name Digg. You saing I can't register diggforum.com and use it for my own porposis ? I also can that this is in onor of my grate, grate... grand father or smth who was John Digger.

btw. this is out law "One of the conditions for all uses is that you can't mess around with our marks. Only we get to do that. Don’t remove, distort or alter any element of a Google Brand Feature. That includes modifying a Google trademark, for example, through hyphenation, combination or abbreviation, such as: Googliscious, Googlyoogly, GaGooglemania. Do not shorten, abbreviate, or create acronyms out of Google trademarks.". They can't control this.

    And for the last argument.

    Hi,

Thanks for reaching out. It's a great idea and something we are looking into providing the Digg community sometime in the next year as well. From a trademark perspective we recommend that you not use the domain (it's an infringement). It sounds like you already purchased the domain, which is a bummer.

If you send us your address and size we'll send you a T-shirt.

    Thanks,
    Beth

    Code (markup):
If you send us your address and size we'll send you a T-shirt. - lol ? That's the only reason why after this I didn't sold them this domain.

So what about it ? As I know, they started investigation on cyberpolice.lt and it was closed 2 days after opening - lost.

The law is to protect confusion in the market place.
If this creates any confusion you will end up in court.

Yea, its not infringement if you use it for something not related to digg, but if your selling the domain as not being digg related, then I don't see how it would be worth anything more then reg fee, if that. Whats the use to someone with "someones last name Digg" and then forum? only usefull if thats there last name. Without the infringement the domain is useless.

Funny how that $390 bid disappeared no?

You cant get away with saying but google is a us tm, google have enough reputation to win protection on their domain or name, regardless of where in the world somebody registers a google name. TM's can be earned via usage and reputation so to speak, more so towards big commercial companies.

The price your asking for this domain suggests your marketing it as a digg domain, you are therfore profiting from their protected name which can get you sued for damages for a start. You can say they can't controll it but the law protects it.
