Recently, for my new blog, I have started submitting articles to social network site, Digg, it honestly has done my google indexing wonders. Before, my pages would take quite a while to index but with digg submissions they are indexed much more rapidly. Could it be due to its monster page rank of eight? It certainly does work, try it! If you have, have you got the same outcome? Any other strategies we know of? TheComputingGeek
Sure is a great way to get a page noticed quickly. Google indexes digg so frequently, and considers these links newsy - and time sensitive. because of this assumes the sooner it gets them in the serp, the happier its visitors.
Its better to use your normal browser to submit digg articles as digg likes to ban all its cheating users via looking into web logs and seeing whos using a browser or application. Be careful
Digg is certainly a good solution, an alternative is to post to some highly ranked forums which works just as well
Indeed, Digg is one of the social bookmarking site that make your site index fast.. I have the same result.. making the article I posted index and got a good traffic from it By the way squidoo, gather and mixx they are also good.. Maybe PR can count as the reason why the posted articles are index fast, but I guess the quality of the articles that has been posted was the main reason.
Yes, for a number of time Digg has uncountable backlinks and get crawled so frequently. Imagine the traffic if your article gets love of the community
Till the date I was just using twitter. Lets see what happens as I am about to start using Facebook and myspace also.
Thanks for the information. I knew about Digg but I wasn't sure if it worked for the other sites too.

Glad everyone agrees about Digg. Just out of interest, has this worked for all the people and also are there any other social networks good for 'Google Indexing?' TheComputingGeek
