    The auction was legit. He placed his bid via PM at the last moment, and has even already paid! Send him a private message if you wish to confirm. Trust me I am not posting an auction for no reason...I want to sell the site to someone who has more time to spend on it. He jumped in and got it so better luck next time. That's just how auctions work.
