Digg/Stumble/Bookmarking Exchanges Banned at DP...Effective March 3 2008

yes, its a really bore when there loads of them how i make 1k a month ebooks inthere, so long as its not illegal to do stumble exchanges there should be a forum for them

 

You can however use your signature to let people know where they can go to do the social bookmark exchanges. See my location? That is allowed. But you can't say "PM me for details".

Yes. That is allowed. Just don't go around posting and telling people to look at your sig.

 

I wonder how long it will take before links to any of the bookmarks/stumbles in signatures are made illegal..

 

Maybe if people don't abuse the privilege, it will be allowed for a much longer tme.

 

You need to change your signature ("400 Bookmarks..".

Or I'll delete your signature, that thread and any itraders as a result of it.

I feel glad that this service were expelled from DP. I always fed up with looking through pages in freebies and found nothing but those stumble threads.... good job mods.

 

Well I haven't been around DP for a bit (been busy) but just noticed the sticky and couldn't be more happier.

I think this move really cleans up the boards and allows user interaction about webmaster issues instead of clogging it with stumble requests.

I think it would have been better to create a sub-forum for social bookmarking exchanges. Stumbles, Diggs, etc can be a very powerful way of boosting your web traffic, and many have benefited in one way or another from purchasing these.

Its too bad we have to resort to links in our signatures now to market a service that many users were demanding, but I do understand where the mods are coming from regarding the clutter.. Is there any chance the mods will reconsider and create a sub-forum in Buy/sell/trade specifically for Social Bookmarking? This would make everyone happy.
