    Well,the concept you quite easy:
    1. Write some really great content and submit the URL to Digg.
    2. If it was really great and if you're lucky (or cheating the system ;)) you will get a lot of traffic.

Squidoo is nowhere near Digg or StumbleUpon in terms of traffic.

Maybe not in volume, but I've had better "quality" traffic from those other two than with Digg. Digg users seem to be "ad blind", broke...or both ;)

The way I look at it is:
    - Digg for possible back links
    - Stumble for possible* conversions
    - Squidoo for targeted traffic and therefore conversions

Although you can get relevant traffic from Stumbleupon, most of it is random. I say that as a user who has Stumbled through my favorite categories.

I look at these sites as press release sites. If you have something unique you can get fast exposure.

I got stumbled after I offered a free backlink to a person on my general web directory.
I think you must register and post a story/news/link/project/image/ etc...

I just started a lense on Squidoo, and so my lens is only a couple of days old, so I'm not expecting much out of it just yet.

Does anyone have anything good to say about hubpages.com or should I just skip it and continue with the squidoo lens. or do both?
