    No digg was not bought by Microsoft to my knowledge. In a recent diggnation ep. they mentioned that digg and Mircosoft have come into agreement for a long term partnership.

    google and microsoft are fighting for search market share. Why would google sell digg to them which would essentially be handing over a portion of googles userbase.

    I don't think Google sold anything, i think as others have said throughout this thread, what happened was Microsoft came in with a better offer to Digg to showcase their ads and also most likely provided some other bonuses such as advertising etc and Digg felt it was time to make a move to another ad platform.

    It was a dumb move by Google in my opinion but i'm sure they had their reasons behind the scenes for letting digg go..

    Yahoo has only taken the advertising contract on Digg which means Yahoo has the power to show whatever ads they feel....It can be Google Ads as well.

    I make more than 3X with YPN by using the same ad spots I was using for adsense....

    btw..YPN is really picky..
