Digg sold out, they weren't bought. They just, for money purposes, decided to sell advertising to Microsoft, which is a huge disappointment.

I hope more big publishers pull out of the adsense program. I think in the long run, if more of the premium publishers pull out then Google will start treating the smaller websites with a bit more respect.

lol, how can you say they "sold out", its not like they were providing a public service and have filled it with advertising, they always ran ads. Now they have changed the provider of them. And why else would they do it but for money purposes? They are a business, of course they're going to go with a better deal if offered.

    Why not?

But I would hate it if Yahoo came out with their premature services. Just look at YSM, it's so ridiculous.

    Lol!
What if you read the thread ?!

Digg Inc. and Microsoft Corp. today announced an agreement in which the two companies will collaborate to bring relevant advertising to the more than 17 million unique monthly visitors to Digg, an innovative Web site that harnesses the collective wisdom of the world's online audience to prioritize the overwhelming amount of content available on the Web.

Digg will use Microsoft ads now and stop using adsense.

Internet real estate and eyeballs mate. Whether you sell widgets, sprockets or cigars, the "authority" of a digg, and it's readership is a big hammer to carry in your pocket (portfolio).

    Without a doubt, photonic. :)

No. Microsoft is not buying Digg. This is a rumor. I have not seen this anywhere.
