Doppy - I just posted to Shoutwire and was deleted.
Strange that...do you know why they do that?

Yeah, I guess I few of them may quickly go to your site and then bookmark it quickly and then leave to go onto the next story/article in the digg network.

So if they bookmark it then it may be because they want to go back to your site on a later date.

I posted on digg this morning, no huge wave of traffic, about 13 visits, no clicks on ads and 1 digg.
Its better than nothing, so i cant complain, and of course its only my first use of it so il keep using it and see how things go.

    Thanks mate!

You have just given me a thought.

I had tried it and use to get something like 300 or more uniques from them after submitting about 5 good quality articles.

I have never been able to properly track my visitors as I use Awstats and Webalizer which doesn't give you much information about your visitors in that you don't know exactly what they are doing on your site on a one to one basis.

I have now produced better stats that I have written and have nearly finished. Once I have finished them on all of my sites I may give it ago again and see how targeted the visitors really are on my sites. See how many just clicks in my site and quickly clicks of it and how many visits more pages and how long they say on each page.

If they visit a few pages then I would look into doing a little more with digg.com but if I just get very untargeted traffic then I will give them a miss.

Basically it'll get you traffic, but it's junk traffic.

Well, like John269 said above, some will visit and bookmark to visit at a later date.
I'm seeing 2 IPs today from the diggers of yesterday which means they visited yesterday, saved the link somewhere and returned.

    So its made it worhtwhile.
No bursts of traffic but I did get about 200 pvs from one article.
I dont agree that they're junk. Sure there's loads of junk in digg.com, you can see it from the type of submissions made, but given that everyone is talking about it, you are quite likely being seen by serious people who will seriously be of interest to you...and its free.

So I am going to keep on writing articles. Its certainly not hurting.

Is blogreporter similar to digg, but on a smaller scale. Do you submit articles to blogreporter just like digg.

I'll happily post my articles in anyplace that serves the purpose - to drive visitors to my site.
But your blogreporter is for blogs or can I submit links to my articles?

Go for it! Any site will do, not just blogs.

Is it your site as I notice you have it listed within your sig.

So I can add my sites. That sounds group. How would I do that, do I have to include my articles in the blogreporter with my links attached or write a little snippet/summary about my site.

Yep its mine. Basically you submit a story. You will be asked for url and story title. This is going to be your anchor text. Then you write a little description and if people will like it, they will vote for it. If it gets enough votes you will be promoted to the front page.

Submission process is in 3 easy steps.

It's very similar to digg then. I will give it ago when I get some time. I hope you all the success with it and I will contribute to it soon.
