why do people want to have 1000 diggs? does that really helps?! somehow i doubt... has anyone tested the difference in traffic to his/her website if you have 0 diggs or if you have 1000 diggs? any results would be great to have!
lol, you're selling diggs and diss'n them? Can't say I have ever heard it mattered except to boost ego
yes it have sense you have change to get your site on the first page of digg and that means a huge amount of traffic echtwel
but first page on digg thats just for couple of seconds. it will dissapear in 1 minute, so whats the point?
You misunderstand how digg works. Let's just say a story has 1000 diggs. This means the actual unique visitor account could be somewhere around 20,000 (if it's a 1:20 ratio of people actually digging the story opposed to just visiting it). This can mean 20,000UV's in a relatively short period of time. Other traffic will also likely occur from sites related to digg, comments, and if you're lucky people will blog about your content or digg your other content.
A high number of diggs also suggests that the story it's attached to is worth investigating -- especially helpful to webmasters/bloggers who post a digg number on their pages and want to increase perceived value. But I share the same question as HomeComputerGames. What's the deal there?
Correct me if this is wrong. High number of diggs won't generate more traffic to your site unless it gets push up to the front page. And I can imagine getting listed on front page is almost impossibly hard.
