Hi, Is digg.com traffic good traffic or not? I got 2k in 1h but the CTR is very low. You guys have any sugestions what to do with this traffic, because I need to use this traffic in a posietive way.
Its "spikey" and typically short visit time traffic. But it does lead to some backlinks, and I think thats the more important factor.
Digg people are going to your site to look at whatever the article was about. As such the ctr will be low because they're interested in what you're talking about. They're not just browsing through. If you want to make use of this traffic you need to give them a reason to return.
Absolutelly, I had 2 stories on homepage there, mybe 200-300 $ earned directly or undirectly from backlinks, but those backlinks are most important.
I never tought that digg.com could send so much traffic it was 2 days ago when my site was digged. When I saw my stas I was shocked because this site is only a week old and also saw that other websites are linking to. But I need a way to use this traffic, I add some banners to other sites but nada no clicks. ps: its not an article site but an online gaming site.
digg users are smart, and almost of them are webmasters too (but i'm not sure). then they'll never click an ad on your page ... just thinking
Ironically, there was an article dugg on this topic a few weeks back. You're right. I'd say the majority of digg users are either webmasters or web "power users" who all know what adsense is. At the end of the day, getting dugg should not be about making a quick few dollars with adsense, it should be about providing something useful. So useful, that people will come back. THAT is your goal.
I'll try to add a 'newest games' section on the game page, maybe it will help to get visitors browse my site to play other games.
I remember digg got me lots of traffic. And sometimes I still get traffic from it even though its months old.
lol as stated above.. digg is just webmasters or power users.. get the traffic forget the bucks... ah i wish i could move my lazy ass and get my top sites dugg.. sniff sniff. anyone has some spare time?
I just registered as a Digg member today, but too bad, my blog's bandwidth has just exceeded. How do we actually have our links on its frontpage? Is it based on the latest dugged site? Is it legal to digg our own links?
I don't know how Digg works but, when I saw lot visitors comming from Digg.com I registered to. I think its alowed to post your own links, but I'm not sure. Another question about that links on Digg.com, one of my site has a link on Digg.com online playable games page. I saw that page has PR8, will this be count as a backlink from PR8 website?
