It is been now a while digg.com is in the loop. I tried to post several articles to it. On each of my posts, i have a FB,Google plus and twitter button, and they all bring me traffic. On the other hand, Digg brings ZERO traffic. And more importantly, Digg.com is nowhere in my inbound links list from webmaster tools. So no aid for page rank. I think this website is an empty shell only used by hipsters. I really don't recommend to spend your time subscribing to it.
I agree with you to a point. I run a news website, and because I was running into similar problems as you, I only post one of our wirters articles up there per day. It's hit or miss, but the other day we drew in an extra 5,000 people from Digg alone. While I think the social networks you mentioned are the best to use. A quick 15 seconds out of my day to post onto dig doesn't hurt. Have you linked your other social media accounts with Digg?
I have the same experience as jlaurier. Hardly any traffic and very low pages per visit from Digg.com. Reddit, on the other hand, positively impressed me. Bye!
May I ask with Reddit if you have actually used text or simply a link. I've had just the opposite success with Reddit. Though, I think it's a great site.
I'm actually struggling to see my entry again, when I click on mine in the list of entries in my subreddit, it goes directly to my website. I'm not really sure you can enter text. You can definitely add a comment and I basically replicated the meta description tag from my home page
So far i been try up lot of top Page Rank Social Bookmarking which share from this forum but it seem not working at all. Can anyone tell me how to gain traffic from social bookmarking? I will not waste time on it while i din see any effect on it but still someone share about it , i think maybe i post incorrect way which not attractive enough or ?
Hi Guys, I would like to share the reasons why DIGG is useless for me: No matter what their age, the site’s users have the musical taste of 15-year-old boys. Dumb pop music by pretty girls who flatter them To get back to the “perpetual 15-year-old†thing: Its users have worse senses of humor than your normal morning-zoo staff.“
I love Digg.. I used to hate it. I found that you must get involved, post comments and dig other peoples stuff. Get a lot of followers, submit real news, something good (I usually snag something from Google News to post). Be active in the News Rooms, this will help you get a lot of followers on digg. Good luck.
Hi, There are many other best social media marketing site other than Digg: 1) Twitter 2) StumbleUpon 3) Facebook 4) Reddit 5) Delicious 6) Google + Are the other major social media sites where you can get target for traffic and make their website good reputation. Hope this information helps you.
I dont think so, digg still helping me to get few traffic and helping my new site to index google soon.
All the bookmarks in digg are no-follow. Folkd, reditt and dropjack are best and do-follow links. You cannot get digg bookmarks in webmaster tools.
Digg only can be useful If you have the front page.Otherwise you dont have not much there and its true for all kinds of social bookmarking sites.
I do agree and believe that Stumble upon is much better than digg. Secondly your account also get banned on digg if you voilate their hard rules.
