Wow. There have been rumours of a potential digg sale for quite some time. It looks as if they are finally going through with it. $300M though? Seems a bit high to me.

Yes, it's been going round for a while, but it's not being denied either. There could be something to it.

Kevin won't sell digg, at lease not anytime soon. He's already promised he isn't going to sell digg, he has tons of ideas for it and actively pursuing some of them. Be assured digg is not for sale ;)

P.S. If you guys listened to Diggnation you would know this ;)

Not sure if that's worth it or not, but if it earns $20k per day that's equivelent to $73 mil per year - so I think it's worth it. It is, however quite a big price so only some corporate companies will be looking into buying it - maybe Google perhaps? :p

if stats like $20k/day are true, then taking into consideration its potential earnings and prospects I'd say that $300 mil is a fair price, I'd ask more for digg:)

$300 million? He's officially gone insane; in my own humble opinion, I don't even think the site's worth that much, or anywhere close around that price. If you're wanting numbers, I'd say Digg's worth about $100 million (which is a big difference, of course), and that's about it; no higher than that. If this, in fact, is actually the ongoing case, I'd be mighty interested as to who in the blue hell would pay such a price for such a site that doesn't even offer that much, but keeping in mind, for a fortune-like cost.
