    digg mostly bans blogspot sites.

One time digg banned www.johnchow.com . It is a big & popular blog. After knowing the ban, the blog readers contacted the digg and unban johnchow.com

    Complete lies.

I've been a frequent digg user (and recently, high level submitter). Your sites are being banned because they get buried on a frequent basis, thats all. If you've submitted it 20 times and been buried 18 of them, of course they're going to ban it - it would be pointless to make submissions.

There is NO digg conspiracy, its just people looking for excuses.

    +1

Also they tend to ban sites if you digg just the homepage opposed to a specific page with a story.

    Exactly.

People really shouldn't be using it for spam. If you're going to promote your own stuff, don't do that exclusively. If you spread things out, you'll get on there.

My niche for my main blog is hockey, so I submit 5 different kinds of things.

    Hockey Videos, not mine
Hockey Videos from my YT Channel
    My Blog's Articles
Hockey News That I'm NOT Running on My Blog
Random stuff that I find awesome.

And what do you know? It works.

I've had at least 4 FP's to my blog articles, and probably about 15 to my own vids.

Of course, I'd still be on digg if I wasn't promoting myself, because I'm also just generally into promoting hockey, but the benefits are there for people who try to help the entire community other than only themselves.
