Digg ban site

So a few of my top sites are banned in digg, e.g. can't submit any articles from them and that really sucks! It was mostly previous sites' owners fault.

Anyone else having the same problem?
Anyone ever managed to get their sites unbanned?

The only way to solve your problem is to email the webmaster of digg. Maybe some sort of glitch happened.

Email is the best way but if the email comes from the same IP as the spammed articles then they will not undo the deactivation of the website. So you should be fine if it was another owner spamming your domain links.

I think if digg users flag your site as spam they will never un-ban it.

some people over do it which is considered as spam. if the previous owner was spamming digg with the site that you currently own, then it is less likely that digg will unban a site. you however can contact suport with a proof of your oenership and that the old owner sold the site to you. also state that you would never resort to spamming digg or violate the digg TOS if they remove the ban. the last point is important. good luck

So I got a reply from them about an hour after emailing. Nothing special or intelligent for that matter, just a regular reply saying they will not approve the sites and quoting their rules that disallow spam.. It was probably a stupid move on my part to send both urls in one email heh

I don't think they really care. But either way digg is not that important and it's nofollow.

Another thing is, if they specifically ban webmasters for registering the accounts in order to help promote their sites then there is not much point in this.

If they only want you to waste time on their site, but do not want to give you backlinks and traffic in return, then screw them

If you do repeated submissions, then your site may get banned for life time. So you need to be very careful otherwise the url may get banned.
