Loads of sites scrape the front page digg feeds. If you make front page you will get 1,000's of temporary links. Also you expose your site to the most influential group of people on the net - webmasters.
Good for traffic if your site is relevant to them. but some of the kids who use it are so incredibly childish there that some people get blasted off the web so fast and for no apparent reason. mad4 mentioned it - you expose your site...and some people there are not the cuddly sort. .
