Digg Blog Entry: http://diggtheblog.blogspot.com/2006/07/integrating-digg-within-your-website.html API Specs: http://videos.revision3.com/diggnation/digg_submission_062506.pdf Official Icon Pack: http://videos.revision3.com/diggnation/digg-badges.zip Also very neat:
I still don't understand how they can justify banning thousands of people for asking for a Digg, then release a Please Digg This button the next day
Yeah, I know what you mean. Kevin is so cool, I'm now contemplating banning affiliates who drive too much traffic to my sites too
Will digg ban if you add this button to your site and ask people to digg them? ;-) They banned us all for asking others to digg.
I am happy i used the search before posting something which could have been the same.. Anyway, for those whoi might be interested, i have an application that is built with those API's already. Check it here: http://www.abuzant.com/diggmonitor/ http://www.abuzant.com/diggmonitor/PRO/ PS> i tried to unlink those but couldn't, sorry. This is totally not a self-blog-promotion.
And Digg is fast in banning anything remotely connected with SEO.. Like someone said, top diggers who are pathetic webmasters or SEOs are URL-BAN Happy
The Digg API looks great. Until now I've used this digg button generator at http://www.hypergurl.com/digg-generator.html One question, with the Digg API does anyone know if it automatically inserts the title and description or does the person digging it still need to do that themselves?
Great stuff thanks - I'll download the PDF and read through it because it's just what I'm after. I was waiting for something that I could put on my site 'before' the page was dugg. It looks like this will enable this functionality... Cheers, p.
