Hi all. Any one please tell me what it the different between xampp and wamp. Which is the best one? I am waiting for proper reply.
Well im not sure of the difference but i personally use xampp because its the first one i downloaded. They both seem to have the same purpose i believe.. I use xampp with php+mysql coding and all is well. I did not know one of them where better than the other...
I haven't used xampp before, but let me tell you, WampServer is awesome! I've used it for years with very few problems, and the few times I did have trouble a quick Google search revealed how to get it to do what I wanted (usually this meant turning on certain modules).
XAMPP is more powerful and resource taking than WAMP. WAMP provides support for MySQL and PHP XAMPP provides support for MYSQL, PHP and PERL XAMPP also has SSL feature while WAMP doesnt. If your applications need to deal with native web apps only, Go for WAMP. If you need advanced features as stated above, go for XAMPP. As of priority, you cant run both together with default installation as XAMPP gets a higher priority and it takes up ports. So WAMP cant be run in parallel with XAMPP.
I use Xamp for linux ubuntu and wamp for Windows. Xamp is a little more complicated than wamp. Unless your going to use perl I dont see too much benefit in Xamp
