social networking is used for networking of friends ( face book ,orkut,etc) social media is used for video and image marketing social bookmark is used for your bookmark marketing in the network.. i know thats all .. but if its any mistake in above..plz dont consider it.. you can ask any one expert .. thank u if u are not feeling as above are mistakes..

@Anjali...If you don't mind I want to correct you... From what I know, Social Media comprises Social Networking, Social Bookmarking, RSS sites, web 2.0 sites n few more.. Social Networking like facebook, orkut Social Bookamrking like digg, technorati, delicious, stumbleupon, etc etc RSS Sites like Yahoo buzz etc Web 2.0 sites like blogger,wordpress, hubpages, squidoo etc.... This sites are coined the term social as people on them can interact with each whereas on traditional websites, its bit difficult and not real time.. here you can share idea real time with the author.
