Situation: i have a .net site with 62 backlinks in google. Due to a host change 1 year ago, the website now is on the .net domain, same domain name but now .net the problem is, the .com domain has 32 backlinks listed, (and i still have that domain as a re-direct to the .net one) but incase someone does a search at google of course the .net domain pops up since the content is on that one. So my question, whats the easiest way to get the .com backlinks added to the .net backlinks? Do i really have to manually email all the sites who still list the .com domain? Best example is the Yahoo search and directory link. Still .com. getting that link over to .net would surely do good for my PR. I hope i explained my situation properly and i am looking forward for any suggestions. Thanks in advance.
Yes a 301 redirect will be your savior for the one reason that PR follows along a 301. There's plenty of examples on how to implement them just search on here or google.
