I have one domain name (which I don't want to mention here the name for some reasons) and I would like you hear your opinions about its value...

My domain's extention is .COM, it is kind of a forum domain (like www.forumABCDEFXYZ.com) ... The important thing is if you search ABCDEFXYZ keyword, there are 3.320.000 results on google... More importantly, for the same domain name but for the .NET extention there is alread one forum website installed and there are already 380 K members and 1.300.000 messages. It is kind of a very active forum.

Domain was registered in 2003 and it is parked to sedo now (at least 50-70 people are visiting per day just by writing the domain adress entirely)... And my domain is registered before its .net extention...

There were a lot of people (including .net owner for this domain) who wanted to buy this domain but I never wanted to sell it because I always thought I would create one forum community for this domain...

I would appreciate if you could tell me how much could it be a domain in this case...

    Thanks and best regards.

50-70 type-ins per day is very decent. The only catch is that if the .net owner has registered their business in any way, it's going to make things really difficult for you to ever do business on the .com version, since they'll probably claim first use in commerce.

First of all, thank you for your answer. Actually .net version is a kind of community forum website and it is not a company, and they had registered their name 2 years after me... So I don't think they can claim something about this...

    Kind regards

I don't do appraisals for names over PM unless they're paid.

IT entirely depends on the quality of the name.

I had some worries about this situation too though - but since you registered it first even if they make a trademark and then complain you shouldn't be in trouble.

Anyway, again I can't appraise, and don't see the point in you withholding the domain from us if you want an appraisal.

As for your plans I don't think you're gonna be able to beat the .net as far as making a community goes unless you hack their DB.
