Different Ways of SEO - Pls Add to The List

    Of the ways known to me, (not in any order though)

    1. Dir Submission.
    2. Article Writing (Is it same as Bum Marketing ?)
    3. Forums, and Blog Posting (including other niche posting)
    4. Virul Marketing (Can any one explain this in detail?)
    5. Link Buying and Exchanges.
    6. Digg, Stumble, Youtube promotion (Is this called Social Bookmarking?)
    7. PPC Campaign (Adwords and others )

    These are the ways I can remember right now. Pls add to the list. Thanks

    well this is just a one single hair from the whole body. you should do many things altogether in order to promote your website. SEO is not something which is merely a job of mill worker.

    I think that is Viral Marketing.

    Viral marketing is email or communication used to transmit a promotional message to another potential customer from a customer.

    2. Yes article submission is also termed bum marketing.

    6. If you consider youtube promotion as social bookmarking then you might also think of myspace, facebook promotion etc. as a good medium too.

    As most people mentioned, you forgot about on page optimization which is very important.

    You did not mention about content which is very important for SERP and SEO. Try to update at least biweekly with fresh quality content because google determines the quality of website from content too.
