Hi I have a croatian website with around 100 000 unique visitors each month. Anyway I would like to involve freelance journalist and encourage them to write and share their thoughts. Here is the scenario one Writer makes an article and post it on my website. In order to earn some money they place their ad sense code inside of the article. 1. Is it legal to have on one domain different users with their ad sense codes? If they start clicking on their ads in order to earn more - their account is gonna get banned - is google going to ban my domain as well because I hosted their code. Scenario 2. I open in my adsense different code for each journalist. How stupid is that? I understand that it might get me banned if writers start clicking on ads. Is there an option to control invalid clicks.
Definitely check with Google. As far scenario one is concerned, if it 'is' legal, it's an ingenious way to encourage people to write content for your site - granted you can get some of that traffic back to your main domain and monetize on it. Let us know what you find. I'm interested in this for one of my blogs too as I never have time to write content or pay writers for their content.
In regards to that matter I emailed google so far three times - first time on 22nd of May - second time on 15th of June - third time on 11 of July and no response at all. I have no idea what else to do. I posted on google forum and no reply at all.
I think it should be fine but who knows.. better double check Google guideline. One good example of this scenario is this forum, DigitalPoint is a adsense sharing site.
So the users on DigitalPoint have option to insert their own ad sense code on their personal pages or... How does that work on DigitalPoint if it's not a business secret.
I think it's ok since there's no specific rule about this on their TOS(If I'm not mistaken) as long as you still follow their TOS I think it's ok.
it is completely fine to have ads from different account on same page. Google officials had already mentioned the same in their faq's.
The most important is - if users clicks too much on his own ads and gets banned does my domain also gets banned for hosting his code.
It looks like it's legal But what happens when user gets banned. Is my domain going to get blacklisted as well or...?
You should be fine as long as you're not generating clicks for each other. ( click fraud ) Also, I'm from Bosnia, but live in America due to the war.
Nice to meet you YugoSlavac Cool nickname What part of BIH are you from. Anyway I never intended in cooperation with journalist to click on ads, but what if some writer starts clicking on his own ads. He's going to get banned, but what about my domain that hosted his code. Is my domain going to get blacklisted?
Thank you for the answer but question still remains. Is google going to ban a domain if the user account on the domain is in breach of TOS.
I'm from Kozarac, and you're not going to get blacklisted. I don't think it would be a good idea to have that many Adsense Publishers on one domain.
Kozarac is cool place in the valley. Better then big city. Why do you think that it would not be good to host many ad sense account on one domain.
