Anyone notice that GOOG delivers slightly different SERP results when youre logged in?

    Why does this happen?

Becouse when you are logged it it stores your personal information and also your preferences.
Say for example you search for cats, and you click some site, that site will always show up higher in searches when you are logged on. And this is becouse google remembers your preferences.

    True: it's called personal search.

The only thing I've noticed is that the number of times I have visited a site appears in gray text next to the title.

This is Google "new" personalized search that serves results based on several factors they are tracking about you, one being your past search history and sites visited.

The more you incline towards a particular site or bunch of sites for a certain term, the more those type of sites will be visible to you

Because Google keeps records of what you've visited previously, etc.

It might be slight now, but it's definitely the way to go for Google.
