Hi Shawn - I have been using your tool every day for months I am a trakaholic....

In the last few days the tools have shown some really different results. Some keywords are ranking lower in your tool and when I check them on Google the keywords are higher (thankfully). When I click on the indiviual keyword the rankings are also different?

    Any thoughts?

My only guess is data center flux. The keyword tracker definitely doesn't make up random results. :)

Have you checked other data centers manually?

Hi Shawn. I have checked other data centers and the results are still off.
For Irish Wedding Rings for example the tool shows 17 and google shows 4 - datacenters show roughly between 5 and 7

    Strange....

FYI FWIW irish_ladie: I have a very similar issue with the keyword "christmas lights" - I have two pages that rank around 11 and 19 (they move around a little bit from there). Sometimes the keyword tracker picks up #19 ... and then if the first keyword moves into the #10 spot, it won't notice it for exactly the reasons Shawn outlines in his FAQ. But then it will bounce back to #11, and then back to #19. So looks like a lotta movement, but it really isn't.

If I could just stay in the top-10, this "problem" would go away! ;-)

    alek
